Download L1 RD Service and USB drivers for Mantra MFS100, MFS110, MFS500, Morpho/IDEMIA MSO1300, Startek FM220U and GPS 8.0 receivers. Install, register and test your Aadhaar device for AEPS and CSP banking.
RD Service installers and USB drivers for every Aadhaar biometric scanner, iris device and GPS receiver we sell — required before any AEPS, eKYC or CSP banking transaction will complete. Pick your exact model below: RD Service builds are model-specific and do not carry across MFS100, MFS110 and MFS500.
UIDAI requires every Aadhaar authentication device to be a Registered Device. The RD Service is the manufacturer's software that signs and encrypts each fingerprint capture inside the device before it reaches your AEPS, eKYC or CSP banking application. Without it installed and registered, Windows will still detect the scanner but every Aadhaar transaction fails.
Mantra ships a different RD Service build for each model - MFS100, MFS110 and MFS500 are not interchangeable. Pick the download that matches the model printed on your scanner from the list on this page. Installing another model's build is the most common reason a device installs cleanly but never registers.
L0 performs the encryption in software on the PC; L1 performs it inside the device's own secure chip. UIDAI requires L1 for AEPS and most CSP banking work. An L0 device cannot be turned into an L1 device by installing different software - the hardware itself is different.
Plug the receiver in, install its USB driver, then confirm a new COM port appears under Ports in Windows Device Manager - most banking applications read that port directly. On first use keep the antenna at a window or outdoors: a cold start usually locks within one to two minutes outside, and may never lock indoors.
Reinstall the RD Service, not just the USB driver. Then check the scanner appears in Device Manager without a warning icon, and re-check its registration status in the manufacturer's RD Service management tool. A Windows update commonly resets the service registration while leaving the driver in place.
The USB driver is free. RD Service registration is licensed per device by the manufacturer and is time-limited on most models, typically renewed yearly through the manufacturer's own RD Service portal. A device whose registration has lapsed reports a capture error rather than a licensing message, which is why an expired licence is often mistaken for a hardware fault.
